You installed the original garage door opener. I have called you back a few times I replaced the spring and today it was the belt. I knew when I looked at why it wasn’t opening correctly that it was teeth missing in the belt. Unfortunately, there appears to be a shortage and the technician did not have one and there aren’t any available. I will have to wait until next week sometime to get the repair done. Our only car was stuck in the garage due to a broken spring. This was at 6:30 in the evening. I Called Precision and they scheduled for a service call that night between 8 and 10. Service man came about 8:30. I was very glad to see him if only he could open the door for us. But he reassured me saying he could fix the door that night. He had it repaired in about an hour and a half with two new springs and other stuff. Fantastic service!! Thanks so much!!

Brian arrived early (after calling to confirm it was ok). The objective of his service was to replace the door rollers and to replace the rope that disengages the door from the opener. The original rope (door only 6 yrs old) was about as strong as dental floss and broke up in the travel device on first use a couple years ago. Brian's replacement of the door rollers was highly satisfactory. The door is much quieter. He however, had no solution on how to replace the rope. He was reluctant to remove the five screws visible from the bottom of where the rope appears to be fastened and see what could be done. He told me the cost for that effort would be $60 per hr. and he was not familiar with that device. The only future solution offered was to replace the entire motor at a cost of more than $600 for a $1 rope. For this reason, I cannot give 5 stars.

The tech solved the problem of the door being out of balance. However, that was not the original issue of concern. The door was "catching or grabbing" on the down cycle and pulling hard on the lift. That is still the an issue. What should be done?

technicians are friendly and helpful. they did a professional job and the product is definitely the best. my only concern was that no told me that during installation, the technicians would have to cut into my aluminum siding frame and they left a rough edge on the frame and left wood edge exposed to elements. a small additional cost to call to my handyman to cover the wood and fix the rough edges was necessary. overall good job
