He wanted $500 to 600 for repair. I had both springs replaced for $288

I assume the door works properly as I was not home when work was completed. The technician was knowledgeable and courteous. However, the company sucks you in with low quotes for service charge and spring cost (when replacing a broken spring), then adds on some bogus $20 “energy fee”, and also tells you that you get zero warranty unless you purchase the 3 bearings at $40 each. What I expected to be a $200 charge was $300. If they told you all this while on the phone when making an appointment, I wouldn’t mind. It’s pretty much bait and switch tactics. I will not use them next time as there are plenty of alternatives.

Overpriced, BJ your competition with the same doors and lift master 8160s, out the door , $900.00 less. Second as I was told that a 15% after the first of year, wow

My garage door was installed by Precision in 2008, and a few days ago the drive belt needed to be replaced. The technician (Darian) arrived today, agreed that the belt needed to be replaced, but also stated that due to age, the door needed additional maintenance (cables, cable drum, spring replacement), all of which had to be done or he couldn't install the drive belt. Darian said it was a safety issue and called the office to verify that he couldn't do anything unless I agreed to the whole $650+ maintenance. I decided not to have anything done and paid for the service call. I want to stress that Darian was professional and courteous the entire time. And I don't doubt that the recommended maintenance was factual. However, I was extremely offput by a company policy which denied me the decision as to what maintenance I wanted done today, and what maintenance I might want deferred until a later time. Telling me it's a "safety issue" feels like a scare tactic to get as much money from me as possible. I would not use your company again, nor would I recommend it to others.

Wasted time. After hour with them they refused to even give me an estimate. I guess I asked too many questions. That's ok, there are others eager for my business.

Purchased an Angie's List deal to tune up my garage door and the job couldn't have gone more perfectly! The technician, Jake, was incredibly prompt, courteous and very professional. The tune-up and silencing package was performed as advertised and the results are great. From making the appointment to the final handshake was a pleasant experience. I also received a requested estimate on further down the road upgrades that I will have no hesitation calling Precision to perform. Precision performed this job expertly and promptly. Great job Jake and the rest of the Precision team!

Service technician called 1hr before arrival and arrived on time. Service was clean, fast and complete. My 2 star rating is because fee for service was very high when compared to amount of labor time required. Had I known the job would only take about 1 hour to complete, I would have declined the service based on the price.

John, Thank you for reviewing our business and technician. I appreciate your candor. Normally when we have a problem the time is an issue because it took too long. Our techs are equipped with all the right tools to get the job done asap. Labor rates are not the only things considered when we establish our price structure. If you are not satisfied please call me directly. I want all our customers 100% satisfied. B.J.

I am not pleased with the final results from the two visits from Precision. The door movements continues to frequently jerk to a start of motion and a second door continues to sporadically "catch" as it rolls through the path in the track. After a silencing call for the door to glide quietly up and down, and to start its movement with a controlled quiet movement, not a BANG and a sudden movement. At this point in time, I cannot recommend Precision for additional work on my other garage doors or to others. (fellow landlords)

Keith, I'm sorry you are not satisfied. I appreciate your feedback. I want to make this situation right but it is going to require additional work that you were not willing to do on our initial visit. I am willing to waive our service call to come back and complete the job. If you decide to do this I would guarantee the door functions the way it should. Please call me at 321-777-0007 and I will work with you. B.J.

My garage door opener failed for a second time this year, and in a different way. This problem clearly was in the motor box and the cost and time of repair was unknown, and who knows how long until the next failure. So, I needed to replace it. I said that I wanted one with Internet access and he said the he could install either a 1/2 HP unit or a 3/4 HP unit. I selected the 3/4 HP unit. He said that the 3/4 HP unit did not have the external key pad, which was fine for me, as I did not want one. I was surprised when he said that he had it with him and it would be installed within an hour. I was surprised when he told me that it only came with one remote, and he provided a second remote (that I was charged for) that did not even look like the first remote that he said came with the opener. He showed me that the remotes and the wall control worked and then left. I then had to connect the door opener to the Internet and that is when I began to wonder what I purchased. The instruction manual was woefully inadequate, so I went to the manufacturer's web site. The model that I purchased, could not be found on the manufactures web site, and all similar models came with exterior keypad and 2 remotes that looked like the second one he gave me. Assuming that the opener installed was a new unit, it seems that it was one that may have been robbed of parts (external keypad and 2nd remote), and had been carried in the truck for quite awhile, waiting for someone like me to buy it.
