My garage door opener failed for a second time this year, and in a different way. This problem clearly was in the motor box and the cost and time of repair was unknown, and who knows how long until the next failure. So, I needed to replace it. I said that I wanted one with Internet access and he said the he could install either a 1/2 HP unit or a 3/4 HP unit. I selected the 3/4 HP unit. He said that the 3/4 HP unit did not have the external key pad, which was fine for me, as I did not want one. I was surprised when he said that he had it with him and it would be installed within an hour. I was surprised when he told me that it only came with one remote, and he provided a second remote (that I was charged for) that did not even look like the first remote that he said came with the opener. He showed me that the remotes and the wall control worked and then left. I then had to connect the door opener to the Internet and that is when I began to wonder what I purchased. The instruction manual was woefully inadequate, so I went to the manufacturer's web site. The model that I purchased, could not be found on the manufactures web site, and all similar models came with exterior keypad and 2 remotes that looked like the second one he gave me. Assuming that the opener installed was a new unit, it seems that it was one that may have been robbed of parts (external keypad and 2nd remote), and had been carried in the truck for quite awhile, waiting for someone like me to buy it.

He obviously was excellent in his work and explained everything verry well. I was glad to have him replace all badly worn parts. Wow you guys rock. I called after a door spring broke on a Saturday. I thought no way it fixed until Monday. Outstanding service!! My garage door could not be opened by the door opener or manually. The springs had snapped making it impossible to open the door. I called Precision at 8am and they had a technician at my house before 10am to replace my double garage door springs. Shane A. was super professional and explained everything that he would do to get my door back to normal. After he explained all the options I opted to have an overhaul of springs, bearings, drums, cables and rollers replaced. He replaced all of those components in less than 2 hours and my. Garage door operates like new! Highly recommend this company if you have any garage door issues. Thanks!

Met with Shane today and ordered a hurricane door upgrade. My current door is over 33 years old and in bad need of a face lift. I have been restoring this house for the last 3 years. New septic system, hurricane windows and doors, added solar, and been lied to on several occasions. One window after all this time is still not correct, not even in code. So, I’ve been through the mill financially. $61,000.00 to date and more than I paid for the house new in 1990. Back to Shane: He was very thorough and walked me through a good presentation on doors, informed my on present Florida codes on different door types which I found interesting and what to expect when the old door is replaced. I have always used precision. Something has changed within the company. The technician they sent was nice but no help, every answer was we don’t do that anymore. I ask for a quote to replace door, he said they don’t do that anymore for that kind of door. Precision has installed 2doors for my house and 2 in my large garage one being a tool up. But they don’t do that anymore?

This is the second time we used Precision Garage Doors. Earlier last summer, our spring broke on our garage door. Precision replaced the spring and adjusted the chain. We called again this Monday evening regarding a different problem. We were able to schedule an appointment for the following morning.
