Dear Mr. Spence, Thank you for reviewing our business. I am sorry for the confusion. We do have a special advertised service call to come to your house of $14.95. It is one of the lowest service call you will find for any service business in the county. It covers some of the cost of running a fleet of trucks in 3 counties, 24 hours, 7 days a week. It also covers the technician completing a 17 point safety check on all your doors moving parts and to diagnose what is the problem with your door. We normally do not charge for labor but only for "parts" installed. However, your door did not need any parts. The tech was able to spend some time fixing your existing parts with some adjustments. Since no parts were needed the technician did need to charge for the time he spent fixing your existing parts, which saved you the expense of replacing them. The $45 labor charge covered his time working on the repair. Many companies would have spent less time putting on brand new parts and charged you hundreds of dollars more. We apologize for the misunderstanding and want to keep you as our customer. We want to offer you a free service call in the future. Thank you for understanding. Although I was prepared to replace my garage door opener, Keith diagnosed the problem (the spring) and replaced it. This solved the problem and replacing the opener was not necessary. When eventually it is, I guarantee I'll have Precision do the job.

I am not pleased with the final results from the two visits from Precision. The door movements continues to frequently jerk to a start of motion and a second door continues to sporadically "catch" as it rolls through the path in the track. After a silencing call for the door to glide quietly up and down, and to start its movement with a controlled quiet movement, not a BANG and a sudden movement. At this point in time, I cannot recommend Precision for additional work on my other garage doors or to others. (fellow landlords)

Great thorough repair job. Billy had every part he needed right on his truck. I called for the repair Sunday morning and the job was completed by early Sunday afternoon. First I would like to say that the technician was on time and courteous. He definitely knew his stuff. However, I was taken aback a little by your pricing. Being a rare purchase, I figured the pricing had to be in line with others, so I accepted his recommendation. Something just didn't sit right about the pricing, so I decided to call around for pricing. The first 2 companies I called said they could have done the job cheaper. Can you please help me understand why I was charged more?

Please allow me to enlighten you a little about garage door springs, and why one will cost more than another. Like automobile tires come in different qualities, with differing expected mileage ratings based on how the rubber was prepared, (Vulcanized or not) .... Garage door springs are also available in differing qualities with signifigantly different life cycle ratings, based on how the steel is prpared. At Precision we only use hot oil tempered, hardened steel springs with a minimum life cycle expectancy of 30,000+ cycles. Many other companies only buy and install cold rolled steel springs which typically have a life expectancy of 10,000 - 15,000 cycles. Obviously, there is an up front price difference in purchasing the better quality springs. This should have been explained by our technician on site during our call. For that I apologize. I contact Precision about 6th months ago for the first time...they were actually my 2nd choice...just out of the phonebook. My first choice NEVER contacted me after I left a message for them to call back to make an appt! I needed a garage-door check as mine was not working properly. Anyway, I ended up needing new rollers and then the hinges etc needed to be "lubed"..for lack of the proper term that the tech used. I was satisfied with the results and would recommend Precision to family and friends. p.s. Please keep the call-out-fee as is...you don't have to pay a huge amount just to find out what the problem is.

I am completely satisfied with my total experience with Precision re: garage repair. I thought it was my opener, turns out 2 springs broken, pulley wires stretched, plastic parts in original set up starting to disintergrate.My continuing to use garage door opener bent the bar from opener to springs, chain loose and slipping off tracks. I believe John was my service person, he educated me on the whole door system, how and why things work and never made me feel like a "stupid girl", he used examples and visual examples leaving me with no doubt that much longer the whole garage door would have collapsed and cost me more. My husband died 3 years ago and I am slowly learning all I need to know about home maintenance and safety. Of course the cost of repair was a schock and I am manually opening door until I can afford to buy a new opener from Precision. Having a lifetime warrenty from a local company is priceless to me being 63 yrs young.Since moving to Fl from Ct in 1996 I have run into repair people that do poor or half done jobs and the customer is expected to be glad the service is being done at all. Precision was totally refreshing to do business with and I will share this information with anyone contemplating garage door repair, or building a home.

Hello, I was quoted a special $14.95 plus parts service call to come to my house for a garage door repair. The repair did not need any parts but we were charged an additonal labor fee of $45. I thought you only had a service charge plus parts cost. I did not know about the $45 an hour labor charge. I felt this misleading on your part.
