Joshua was born in Dayton, Ohio and moved to Melbourne at the young age of 3. During his childhood he played soccer and continued to play at Melbourne High School and also attended Eastern Florida State for two years. In his free time Joshua spends it with his daughter as well as surfing, kayaking, running, lifting weights, fishing and traveling.
